Program Schedule

Students normally enter the Program beginning with the fall semester. A program and schedule for students with excellent English and economics is presented below for the 2008-2009 program year. It involves carrying course overloads each semester. Students with less preparation should plan to take longer to complete the Master's degree.

Aug. 25-Dec. 19, 2008

Fall Term

June 15-Aug. 8, 2009 Summer Session 2 *

Students who maintain a "B" average receive a Master of Science degree in Economics. Students who complete the Program but do not meet the grade requirements receive a certificate stating that they have completed a Program in Policy Economics at the University of Illinois.

* The MSPE Program offers its summer courses only during Summer Session 2, and the Program's annual tuition and fees figure covers this term only. If a non-MSPE course is taken in Summer Session 1, additional tuition and fees will be assessed.
