Students normally enter the Program beginning
with the fall semester. A program and schedule for students
with excellent English and economics is presented below for the
2009-2010 program year. It involves carrying course overloads
each semester. Students with less preparation should plan to take
longer to complete the Master's degree.

Students who maintain a "B" average
receive a Master of Science degree in Economics. Students who
complete the Program but do not meet the grade requirements receive
a certificate stating that they have completed a Program in Policy
Economics at the University of Illinois.

The MSPE Program offers its summer courses only during Summer
Session 2, and the Program's annual tuition and fees figure covers
this term only. If a non-MSPE course is taken in Summer Session 1,
additional tuition and fees will be assessed.
